Gender: Masculine Usage: Biblical Other Scripts: Hebrew: לֵוִי, meaning "Attached". In the Bible, Levi was the child who would make Leah's husband attached to her. Throughout history, Yaweh attached himself to the Levites. "But to the tribe of Levi he gave no possession: because the Lord the God of Israel himself is their possession, as he spoke to them." I'm so glad you are chronicling the miraculous days of Levi. Thank you for taking the time to tell his story. God affirms the pain of losing a newbie when he describes the sorrows we will leave behind in heaven, Isaiah 66:19 No more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress. No more shall there be in it an infant who lives but a few days."
